Red Tail Hawk...Ready for FlightPrice $20,000 Actual size, this bird was carved from a large single block of wood. The exposed legs were made of brass for support. Feet were carved from wood and the talons were made with sculpy, baked and carved. Due to the weight of this carving, a rock was used as a counter balance. The log supporting the hawk is actually a piece of bent steel drilled to support the legs, surrounded by carved wood for natural look. The habitat is formed from solid copper. |
