Grouse pair…Hideaway

Two grouse in a log. Hard to believe when you see it, but the log and both grouse were carved from a single piece of wood. The free form base is covered with painted wood chips and saw dust. The leaves and acorns are hand made. Had to carve half of this piece UP-SIDE-DOWN.
