Red Tailed Hawk Springing Into Action

This hawk was carved from a single block of Tupelo Gum Wood and was hand painted true to life.  The log was also hand crafted.  The base is crackle painted with the look of granite.  Observe the action with one leg bent down on the log, ready to spring.  The feet are made of wood, with talons made with sculpy and legs crafted from steel rods.
